It’s no secret that mountain bike tires vary greatly in size. For instance, one manufacturer’s 2.2-inch trail tire can be comparable in size to another company’s 2.5-inch. A fraction of an inch might not sound like much, but it can be the difference between proper performance and a tire that won’t even fit in your frame. To combat these blatant inconsistencies, WTB introduced the Global Measurement System (GMS).
