It was a big weekend for Killian Callaghan as he raced round four of the EWS in his home country of Ireland. Being joint leader as he entered the race, there was no doubt Killian was looking forward to utilizing his home advantage. After Saturday's torrential rain, conditions were constantly changing in the stages and it claimed some carnage among the world's best, including Killian. As two crashes in stage one meant he was chasing from early on, he got himself back into the grove with 3rd, 4th, and 5th place finishes over the next few stages. A big crash during stage five caused him to knock his shoulder out of place after colliding with a tree, but he battled on to claim 7th place, which almost dropped him back to 5th position in the overall. Digging deep and enjoying the crazy local fans, he pulled it all together to earn the fastest time in the final stage of the day and in the process took back 11 seconds on third place. On what he considered to be a bad day, a fourth place finish was well earned, albeit less than a second off of 3rd!

He went into EWS round four in Wicklow, Ireland in a tie for the overall top spot, but left with sole owner of first overall. Congrats, Killian!
